Redone Album Artwork for Radiohead's Hail to the Thief
This is my rendition of Radiohead's Album Hail to the 'Thief.' The original album cover was the hills the 'Hollywood' sign is on in LA, filled with words and streets found in Hollywood. The music on the album is very politically driven and because of that I chose reds and blues as the colors. For my version, I wanted to keep the Hollywood hills as the main part of the image, but I wanted to give it more texture. This is a mixed media piece; The red background is watercolor and the hills are layers of acrylic paint. I did bring it into Photoshop to enhance the texture of both.
